Welcome to the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute Youth Wrestling Program
Welcome to the Poly Youth Wrestling Program—powered by Beat the Streets Baltimore. Practices are held in the Poly Wrestling Room and open to students in grades 2–8 who want to develop skill, confidence, and discipline through the sport of wrestling.
Wrestlers practice on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, focusing on technique, conditioning, and character development in a structured, positive environment.
The program offers both novice and experienced competition tracks, giving every athlete the chance to compete and grow. Novice wrestlers begin in local meets designed for skill-building, while experienced athletes represent Poly in the Maryland Junior Wrestling League (MJWL) and the USA Wrestling Maryland State Development Series, leading up to state championship opportunities.
Our goal is to build well-rounded student-athletes who learn perseverance, teamwork, and leadership—on and off the mat.
Welcome to Poly Wrestling—where champions start their journey.
